Skapes is a new name on the underground UK House and Bass heavy dance scene.

But what you might not know, is that this talented chap from Nottingham has been around for some time.
For Skapes, this is a new alias of the bass monster mastermind that is Alex Calver.
Some may know him from his Twocker days with Will Bailey (Low Steppa) with the heavy electro sounds and some may know him as Calvertron, from the Electro, Fidget House and Dubstep genres.

This new project is in its relatively early stages, but has already seen some massive support from fellow DJ’s, radio stations and labels.

Tracks featured regularly on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, Rinse FM and Kiss FM, releases on Low Steppa’s label, Simma Red, Stanton Warriors label, Punks, Herve’s label, Cheap Thrills, Kissy Sell Out’s label, San City High Records and his collaboration with Low Steppa on the mighty Toolroom Records ‘Miami Underground 2015’. His sound is also spreading worldwide with remixes under his belt on AC Slater’s ‘Party Like Us’ and ‘One Love’ in Australia.

This is just the beginning for what seems to be a very good 2015 so far for Skapes.

A name to watch this and many more years to come.
