Martin ‘Mayhem’ Ikin has been DJ’ing and Producing music since 1990. He has spent the last 20 years releasing records on many labels under many names, and now has a list of classics under his belt. As well as DJ’ing, Producing and spending some years employed as in-house engineer at several recording studios, Martin also studied jazz piano, has been bandleader of several jazz funk outfits and is still gigging, session playing and teaching piano today.

In 2003 he launched Soul Purpose Records with artists such as Juliet Roberts, Angie Brown, Mary Pearce, Elisabeth Troy & Bryan Chambers joining the camp. Now with a host of great artists, collaborations and releases, Soul Purpose has built a reputation for quality house music and is going from strength to strength.
